REFORMING HEALTHCARE FOR A BETTER FUTURE

Did you know that over 25% of Australians have had at least one telehealth consultation within the past year? The Australian government has committed to invest more than $100 million over the next four years to support greater access to telehealth services.

Telehealth has become increasingly popular as technological advancements such as Electronic Medical Record (EMR) & E-Scripts continue to drive innovation in healthcare. TeleDoc® has invested heavily to develop state-of-the-art infrastructure and has established itself as an industry leader. We do understand that telemedicine is not without its limitations and may not be suitable in some circumstances. Please check out what services we offer to see how TeleDoc® can help address your medical needs.

AUSTRALIA'S MOST RELIABLE TELEHEALTH EXPERIENCE

Established in 2022 after the pandemic, TeleDoc® quickly began to earn the trust of Aussies across the country. We know how difficult it can be to access timely medical care. Since day one, our focus has remained on delivering top quality care to patients in need. Our team, diverse in expertise and background, brings together a wealth of experience and a shared passion: to make primary care simple, accessible & inclusive for all Australians.

We take pride in being recognised as the most trusted providers of telehealth in the country. Our commitment to patient satisfaction is what drives our success and it will always remain our top priority. When it comes to your health & well-being, there is no better partner than TeleDoc®.

TRUST US TO CARE FOR YOUR FAMILY

We know how frightening it can be when your little bub becomes unwell & there are no local doctors available. As parents, we understand the importance of quick, reliable, and compassionate healthcare for your children. Our platform is designed to streamline paediatric care via telehealth to save you time & avoid unnecessary trips to the Emergency Department.

We commonly treat children with asthma, croup, common cold, bronchitis, chest infection, school sores, eczema, gastroenteritis, urinary tract infection (UTI) & more. Whether it’s a late-night fever or a sudden rash, our professional telehealth doctors are only a phone call away.

Frequently asked questions

Telehealth refers to delivery of healthcare using technology as an alternative to standard in-person consultations and is often provided via telephone & videoconferencing. Though it has its limitations telehealth is being increasingly used to improve access to healthcare particularly in regional and rural communities across Australia. Telehealth also improves patient health outcomes during after-hours when GP clinics are not available for urgent and subacute medical issues. With TeleDoc, you can connect with an experienced, fully registered Australian Doctor right from the comfort of your own home.

Yes, TeleDoc professionals can prescribe medications as well as provide repeat prescription via e-scripts. Just like any medical consultation, there are no guarantees what medication will be prescribed to you by the doctor. The doctor will take thorough medical history to determine what medication is best suited for you. Please note that some medications may not be prescribed on instant first consultation such as Benzodiazepines, opioids, controlled substances & narcotics. Such medications are classified as controlled drugs & substances that require close monitoring by a GP or a specialist.

TeleDoc works to provide private after-hours care and as such is not covered by MBS. We try hard to keep our fee as affordable as possible for our patients.

Yes, we can order pathology, imaging & referrals however, you will need to liaise with your GP to follow up on results. In some cases, patients can book a subsequent appointment to follow up on their results.

Yes, We provide medical certificate to cover work / school leave when appropriate. The medical certificate will be emailed to you after the consultation. Please note that doctors are not able to backdate medical certificates and can only provide certificate for leave of maximum of 3 days.

Yes, TeleDoc Doctors are fully qualified and registered with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)

We understand that telehealth has its limitations and patients can sometimes feel not satisfied with the doctor’s opinion. Please understand that the medical doctors are paid to give their professional opinion which may not provide optimal solution to health matters on hand. For example, in emergent cases, patients might be asked to present to the nearest hospital. Similarly, some patients with chronic, complex comorbidities may be asked to liaise with their GP for matters not deemed urgent. However, if we genuinely cannot help you out, you simply get a full refund.

There is a standard fee of $45 which is payable upon booking via credit / debit cards. The fee covers consultation with a medical professional who are entitled to provide their medical opinion on issues pertaining to the patient.
